As Newcastle manager Alan Shearer awaits news of the latest injury to befall his one and only left-back, it has emerged that Argentina international Jonas Gutierrez has joined the club's injury list.[LNB]Jose Enrique is having a scan today after he hobbled out of last night's goalless draw with Portsmouth after just 28 minutes with a hamstring injury.[LNB]The Spanish defender, who had just returned from a knee injury, is out of Sunday's trip to Liverpool, and he could now miss the rest of the season, leaving Shearer with no choice but to ask Damien Duff or Ryan Taylor to cover for him in the back four.[LNB] Blow: Jonas Gutierrez is set to be ruled out[LNB]But it has now emerged Gutierrez has an ankle injury which ruled him out of starting last night's game. The midfielder jetted in from a court hearing in Spain to take his place on the bench and he was a late replacement for Nicky Butt. [LNB]Shearer said: `Jonas had a knock on an ankle injury. He had been away for two days. He was all right to put on the bench, so we will see how he his.'[LNB]Newcastle have confirmed they have finally resolved the issue of Gutierrez's value and registration after months of wrangling with his former clubs Real Mallorca and Velez Sarsfield.[LNB]The two clubs are owed £2.5million by Newcastle for the winger who has yet to score since his summer move to Newcastle which former director of football Dennis Wise believed would be a free transfer.[LNB] Shearer defiant despite Toon flopping again in stalemate with PortsmouthNewcastle 0 Portsmouth 0: Owen bungles as Toon are left in drop zoneNEWCASTLE UNITED FC
