Guthrie looks to kick on

Midfielder Danny Guthrie has backed Newcastle to get back to winning ways in the televised clash with Nottingham Forest at the City Ground on Saturday. The Magpies sit three points clear at the top of the Championship despite being held at home by QPR and Bristol City before the international break. United thrashed Ipswich 4-0 in their last road game, which was also televised, and Guthrie has tipped his team-mates to consolidate their position with games coming up thick and fast. He told the club's official website: "We've dropped points in the last two matches but we're still top. We have to take advantage of that and kick on during these next five games, starting on Saturday."
