Guthrie: 'I Have To Adapt'

08 November 2011 13:31
Danny Guthrie admits he has been forced to adapt his game to get into the first team.

Danny Guthrie: "It wasn't easy coming in to replace Cheick because we're totally different players.

"We knew I was not going to be a direct replacement for him, but I had to adapt my game a little bit.

"Playing with Yohan, who plays a bit more forward than Cheick, I've had to sit a bit deeper than I'm used to.

"We lost a lot of big players and big personalities out of the dressing room, but we seem stronger for it.

"Obviously confidence plays a massive role in football and we've managed to make our own confidence this season.

"Everyone can't wait to get into the next game."
