Crystal Palace owner Steve Parish has informed fans that speculation the Eagles have agreed terms with Dan Gosling are wide of the mark, considering the club haven't agreed terms with Newcastle.
Palace are however 'monitoring him'.
Speaking to the Croydon Advertiser following reports that a deal had been struck, Parish in short said his agent had been a little bit quick with his quotes and they have been misconstrued.
Steve Parish: "No terms have been agreed because we haven't got an agreement with Newcastle United.
"There have been a few conversations with them, not on a fee, just details.
"Nothing has been agreed, it's something we've made an enquiry about."
Having played under Holloway previously, Gosling was happy to see the deal done.
