Dan Gosling has turned down an offer from Sunderland and signed a four-year deal with Newcastle United. The 20-year old has landed at St James’ Park after being allowed to leave Everton because of a contract error and following talks with Bolton, West Ham and Sunderland. But Gosling is set to miss the first three months of the upcoming season with a knee injury. The deal means the England U21 starlet will pick up £5.5million in wages over four years.
