The Devon-born midfielder has found it tough to break into Alan Pardew’s starting line-up, with Newcastle United unbeaten in the opening six top-flight matches.
Danny Gosling: “I’m happy to be back out there with the lads regularly after injury last season.
“But it’s about getting your time on the Premier League stage and showing what you can do.
“That’s what every footballer wants to do – play.
“I’m no different and sooner rather than later I can do that.
"I'm ready for the first team, and I have to prove that to the manager.
“We’ve started the season well and had good results.
“If we carry that on great, the main thing is to get the results.”
