NEWCASTLE star Jonas Gutierrez has condemned mischief makers for trying to unsettle his stay on Tyneside.[LNB] The Argentina international rounded on rumours that he wants a move in January.[LNB] He has made it known that Newcastle supporters missed out on witnessing his famous Spiderman mask celebration in Saturday's win over Peterborough because he wanted make a statement about his commitment to the club.[LNB] The 26-year-old netted a spectacular individual effort to score his first United goal after 16 months of trying.[LNB] And while many were expecting to see Gutierrez perform his colourful goal celebration, the fleet-footed winger opted to keep his merriment somewhat low key.[LNB] He was far from happy after the match, despite scoring a superb goal, producing a sparkling cameo and contributing to the team's best home performance so far.[LNB] I did not celebrate because there was speculation that I wanted to leave on websites,[LNB] said the disgruntled playmaker.[LNB] I do not know who said it but it is incredible because I never said nothing.[LNB] The only thing I have ever said is that I want to stay in Newcastle and get promotion.[LNB] I am happy here and my family are happy. That is the only thing I have said. When you hear people saying you want to leave it is bad. Yes it is hard to be in the Championship.[LNB] But I want to be here.[LNB] It is a shame because I have waited a long time to score. I wanted to show the Spiderman mask. I had it with me but I left it in the changing rooms for these reasons, because I saw these words on some websites and I was not happy.[LNB] That was the only reason I didn't take the mask out, because I didn't enjoy it. It is OK, I just want people to know those things were never true.[LNB] Gutierrez, whose sparkling performance was cut short after 20 minutes because of a slight thigh strain, says he has not ruled out Spiderman celebrations in the future, while also letting slip his intention to invite legendary Argentina manager Diego Maradona to St James' Park.[LNB] When I score my next goal for sure I will take out the Spiderman mask, revealed Gutierrez. I promise to wear it. I have it. I just couldn't wear it today.[LNB] Every time people ask me about Newcastle I say what I believe, I love it here. Maybe there are some clubs interested in me, I don't know, but it is one thing to say that and another things to say I do not want to be here.[LNB] That is what I don't like. I have always enjoyed my football but it is better when you are winning games. It makes you more confident, and more happy and you enjoy it more.[LNB] Every game that goes by you enjoy it more. We have to keep playing like this until the end of the season. But I love Newcastle and I want us to be in the Premier League.[LNB] It could be a really exciting year for me. The two things I want to do is win promotion with Newcastle and go to the World Cup with Argentina. I am working hard for both of those things.[LNB] I talked with Diego Maradona and he is happy for me to be in the Championship.[LNB] It was a problem for me before the start of the season. I didn't know what he would think about that. I didn't know if he would like me playing in the second division, but when I talked with him he said: No problem. Even if you are playing there, as long as you do things right, you are going to be in the national team'.[LNB] That was great for me to hear. It was wonderful, great.[LNB] It meant I could keep calm. I love it in Newcastle and that meant I could stay.[LNB] Maradona has really helped me and I would like to think it has helped Newcastle too! The only thing I can say to Maradona is thank you because he knew it was going to be a difficult situation and when he told me that it was wonderful.[LNB] I am going to invite him here. Maybe he will come to watch a game soon.[LNB]
