Give Me One Good Reason Why Colo Should Walk Away For 'Free'?

Fabricio Coloccini's father insists the defender is anxious to return to San Lorenzo ... but why should Mike Ashley let him walk away on a free transfer?

Coloccini looks set to leave the Magpies after informing the club of his desire to return to Argentina, though they are keen to keep hold of their skipper until the end of the season.

His father Osvaldo, currently a youth coach at San Lorenzo, believes a resolution must come quickly.

"Fabricio is very anxious, he wants a resolution," he explained. "I think that it's the moment for him to return to San Lorenzo. We want him to come back.

"In the last few hours, Newcastle have bought a defender but that means nothing because they were looking for an option in that position anyway.

"At Newcastle they are telling him to wait until May but the thing is that I don't know if San Lorenzo are going to be able to wait until then."

So what if they won't wait! They want him for FREE!

I know what I'd tell them ... AND Coloccini.

He has signed a four year contract - is worth arounf £8m - so why should Newcastle let him walk away?
