... it appears the target they REALLY want is Arsenal's Nicklas Bendtner.
According to Turkish outlet Miliyet, prelimary talks have taken place between the clubs with Arsenal looking for a fee of around £4.5m.
But Bendtner suggested this morning he would rather play in Germany.
However - money talks - and Galatasary can offer Champions League football and are in a position to cover Bendtner’s wages.
They also suggest that because of his family ties in London, where his young son lives, special arrangements will be made in terms of private air transport for holidays.
Bendtner is currently focused solely on the European Championships with Denmark where his two goals against Portugal will have done his chances of finding a new club no harm at all.
He is also facing a UEFA sanction for his Paddy Power underpants which he displayed, contrary to tournament rules.
He remained coy on his future this week, saying, “It’s not something I think about. I’m only think about Denmark and the European championships, but it’s nice to score two goals which will obviously create some interest.”
If he does decide to make the move to Turkey, he’d be playing alongside his former Arsenal teammate Emmanuel Eboue who joined Galatasaray in a £2.5 move last summer.
