Fraser Forster Set To 'Put His Feet Up' For A Season
Celtic were jeered from the pitch after a home defeat by St Johnstone this week, and let's face it ... you have to laugh. Fraser Forster returned to Chilly Jockoland for another season of 'nothingness' in a league that comprises two 'half-decent' teams and ten Sunday pub sides. Celtic losing to St Johnstone is like Ipswich Town losing at home to Scotswood WMC's second team. But, full marks to Fraser (God bless him), he still believes that Alan Pardew (and everyone else OUTSIDE of Jockoland) is wrong about the standard of the Scottish Premier League. Fraser Forster: “That’s his opinion. “I think the SPL’s a much tougher league than people give it credit for – but everyone’s entitled to their opinion and I’m just proud to come and play for such a massive club as Celtic. “The chance to play in Europe is something that very few clubs and very few players get to experience. Everyone want to get through on Thursday for their own reasons. “Obviously Alan Pardew is the manager at Newcastle and he can have his opinion – as anyone can – but I think it’s important that we focus on ourselves and don’t worry about anybody else." So with Thursday game out of the way - and Celtic knocked out of Europe - Fraser can put his feet up and enjoy the season with only Rangers to worry about.
