Fraser Forster Moves To 'Slow Lingering Death' Of A League!

13 July 2012 15:37
Well ... they may as well give former Toon goalkeeper Fraser Forster his chocolate SPL winners medal for 2012/3 right now.

The keeper hung on hoping for English interest - but it didn't happen - so he signed for Celtic last week.

And with no Old Firm derby for three years at least - Scottish football is in the gutter swimming in shit.

Rangers will start the new season in the Irn-Bru Third Division following a vote by Scottish Football League chairmen at Hampden on Friday ... and you have to laugh at how they have just put the SPL into Toy Town.

With Celtic 7,000-to-1-ON favourite to win the title, you may as well bring down the shutters right now.

SFA chief executive Stewart Regan claims that putting the Ibrox club into the Third Division would bring financial catastrophe and a "slow, lingering death" of the game.

Twenty-nine of the 30 SFL clubs accepted Rangers as an associate member of the Scottish Football League while 25 clubs voted in favour of placing the newco team into the bottom tier.

Just imagine the chaos as tens of thousands of Rangers fans invade Peterhead, Annan Athletic, Berwick Rangers, Montrose and East Stirlingshire each week.

WHAT A JOKE!
