Highly-rated Coventry defender Dan Fox has revealed that he is keen to sign his new contract extension as soon as possible. The in-demand left-back, who was the subject of a bid from Newcastle in the January transfer window, is expected to attract offers from Premier League clubs in the summer, along with fellow defender Scott Dann, midfielder Aron Gunnarsson and goalkeeper Keiren Westwood. All four players have been told they will be made improved offers by City and Fox, who has recovered from a knee injury ahead of the resumption of the Championship schedule against Reading on Saturday, told the Coventry Telegraph: "Hopefully something will get sorted at the end of the season and I will sign my new contract before I come back for the pre-season. "I am looking to get it sorted as soon as possible - as soon as the season is finished - so I can put it to bed and then focus on the summer and getting fit for the pre-season. "I have still got another two years on my contract and the club are not in a position where they have to offer me a new deal but the gaffer obviously wants to reward me for what I have done, which is all credit to him and the chairman."
