Fowler Tries To Help 'Unwanted' Carroll

He has been told he can leave Anfield on loan - or for good if someone comes up with a wad of cash - but Robbie Folwler has given unwanted Andy Carroll a word in the ear.

Fowler has advised Andy Carroll to forget about the price paid for him by Liverpool.

Carroll was signed by ex-Liverpool manager Kenny Dalglish for £35m in January 2011 but Dalglish’s replacement, Brendan Rodgers, has suggested the former Newcastle United player could leave Anfield.

Robbie Fowler: “What Andy has to do is forget about the price tag and let other people worry about that.

"It is not as if he was saying "Buy me for £35m".

"The clubs agreed a fee but he has to forget about that.”
