Former Newcastle Utd defender Stuart Pearce is backing Steve "Wally With The Brolly" McClaren to be a big hit at the City Ground Stuart Pearce: "At club level, Steve has been fantastically successful with what he is working with. "Then he has gone abroad and won a championship with a club (FC Twente) who had not won it before. "He has managed in Germany and he is an outstanding coach, being involved with Manchester United when they won the European Cup. "He has so much experience and sometimes in this country we do not revere our coaches in the way we should."
