The former France international, who signed for Sunderland in the summer, has released "Thinking Outside the Box: Reflections on Life As a Premier League Footballer".
Saha met "The Unwashed" in Waterstones bookshop, The Bridges, Sunderland city centre.
There weren't that many there, obviously going by the stats that only one in 50 on Wearside can actually read!
Saha has promised to bring out a special volume of "pictures only", which is expected to be a big seller.
The book includes insights from Louis’ former manager at Manchester United, Sir Alex Ferguson, football legends Zinedine Zidane and Thierry Henry, ex-Chelsea striker Didier Drogba and Australian international Tim Cahill.
Saha is still to score for Martin O’Neill’s team.
