Chelsea's Premier League title ambitions suffered a setback as they went down to a 2-1 defeat at Goodison Park due to two goals from former Newcastle striker Louis Saha. Saha bagged a brace as the Toffees came from behind to register a win which saw Manchester United reduce the gap on the league leaders to a single point after they drew 1-1 at Aston Villa. Florent Malouda opened the scoring for the visitors after 17 minutes but Saha exposed Chelsea's weakness from set-pieces by heading a 33rd-minute equaliser. Saha had a penalty saved by Petr Cech just before half-time but the French striker more than atoned as he fired home the winner 15 minutes from time. At Villa Park, United played for 60 minutes with 10 men as they held on for a 1-1 draw to move onto the shoulders of the leaders.
