Former Toon Midfielder Joins MK Dons
Former Newcastle midfielder Dietmar Hamann has joined MK Dons as player-coach on a one-year deal. He played for Newcastle during the 1998/99 season, making 31 appearances, and won 59 caps for Germany. How can we forget his goal against England in 2000 that ended Keegan's managerial career? Great player, but wanted to move on and ended up at Liverpool. Born in Waldassen. Won a Champions League winners medal with Liverpool in 2005.
