Former England star Butt set to hang up his boots at the end of the season

End of the road: Nicky Butt is considering retirement[LNB]Newcastle midfielder Nicky Butt has revealed he could retire at the end of the campaign.[LNB]The 34-year-old has been a key figure in the Magpies' resurgence in the wake of their relegation from the Barclays Premier League.[LNB]However Butt, who is out of contract at St James' Park at the end of the season, is now considering his future after playing a bit-part role in recent weeks.[LNB]The former England midfielder has had a long and distinguished careerwhich has brought him six Barclays Premier League titles, two FA Cupsand a Champions League winners' medal. [LNB]But he said: 'I know I haven't got much longer left, so Ijust want to enjoy playing the game while I can before worrying aboutwhat to do once I have stopped. [LNB]'I haven't made any decisions about my future yet. I'm just going totake it as it comes. I'm signed until the summer and I will see how Ifeel then.[LNB] 'If I'm offered another deal here, I will certainly think about it,but it will depend how I feel.
