They might not have seen much good fortune on the pitch, but three ex-Sunderland managers have been named as some of the richest bosses in the game.

Roy Keane, Steve Bruce and Martin O’Neill all made it into the Sunday Times’ Sport Rich List for football managers. The list, which was released today, reveals the bosses are worth a combined £55m.Keane, who left the Black Cats in 2008 and is now without a club after leaving Ipswich Town two years ago, is worth £29m.He comes second in the league, with only his old boss at Manchester United Sir Alex Ferguson ahead of him on £34m.Bruce, now challenging for promotion to the Premier League with Hull City, has some way to go to catch up with his old Red Devils team mate. The 52-year-old, who was sacked by Sunderland in 2011, is worth £14m and lies in seventh place in the list, jointly with former team mate Mark Hughes. The former central defender is doing better than his replacement at the Stadium of Light Martin O’Neill however, who is worth £12m.
