On his way: Charles N'Zogbia has got his wish to leave Newcastle[LNB] England Under-21 international Ryan Taylor has joined Newcastle [LNB]in an extraordinary deal which sees Charles N'Zogbia move to Wigan Athletic[LNB], and the St James' Park club pocket £6million.[LNB]Manager Joe Kinnear is also still hoping to sign Toulouse right-back Albin Ebondo despite negotiations between the two clubs collapasing over the weekend. [LNB]Kinnear and football director Dennis Wise are also looking to hijack Bolton's bid to sign Sporting Lisbon midfielder Miguel Veloso although the Portugal international is rated at £12million by his club.[LNB]With the unpopular N'Zogbia moving to Wigan after he was branded Charles Insomnia by Kinnear, the former Wimbledon boss feels that in Taylor he has secured a player with a bright future.[LNB]Taylor, who was out of contract at the JJB in the summer, has only scored six goals in his career but incredibly four of those were against Newcastle, including a free-kick past the recently-departed Shay Given in Wigan's 2-1 Boxing Day win.[LNB]Kinnear said: 'Ryan's very versatile, and that's the reason why I went for him. He's got a long throw and he's also excellent at set plays.[LNB]'He scores goals from dead ball situations. He can play wide left, left-back, right-back and wide right. If we have injuries in those areas, the boy's capable of doing exceptionally well.[LNB]'He played for England's Under-21s, and I think there's much more to come from him.'[LNB] Ryan Taylor has joined Newcastle[LNB]Steve Bruce admitted he was delighted with the signing of N'Zogbia, saying: 'I think this boy can be a really good player for us.[LNB]'He's lightning fast going forward but can also play at the back and he fills that left-sided role we've been looking for.[LNB]'He is young but he has experience. For a boy of his age to have played well over 100 Premier League games is rare, so with his best years ahead of him, he is exactly the type of player we need for the long-term building of Wigan Athletic.[LNB]'I'm delighted to have him on board.'[LNB] Manchester City agree £8m fee to sign Newcastle keeper Given[LNB]DEADLINE DAY: All the transfer news as it happens[LNB]ROBBIE RETURNS!
