Brentford have terminated the contract of former Newcastle strikerCarl Cort by mutual consent. He has made just four substitute appearances for the Bees this season due to a niggling Achilles problem. His deal at Griffin Park was due to expire in the summer, but with Cort showing no signs of a return to action, the club have reached an agreement with the 33-year-old.
