Tottenham striker Emmanuel Adebayor is facing a battle to be fit for Sunday's trip to Newcastle. [LNB]Adebayor has reignited his career at White Hart Lane since arriving on loan from Manchester City with Spurs winning all four games he has played in. [LNB]The former Arsenal man has helped himself to three goals but injured his hamstring in the 2-1 win against the Gunners and has a 50-50 chance of making the match at St James' Park. [LNB] Remember me? Emmanuel Adebayor starred for Spurs against his former club Arsenal but the striker picked up an injury in the derby victory[LNB]As an ex-Arsenal player Adebayor needed a fast start for Harry Redknapp's side and he got off to a flyer with a debut strike against Wolves and a double in the 4-0 demolition of Liverpool. [LNB]The 27-year-old had dropped right out of the picture at the Etihad Stadium but has been told he will need to drop his wage demands if he wants to turn his season-long loan in north London into a permanent arrangement.[LNB] Fingers crossed: Harry Redknapp will be desperate for Adebayor to recover[LNB]Adebayor's weekly wage at City is ?150,000 and Redknapp said this week: 'If Emmanuel maintains his current form I would love to keep him but his wages are going to be a major stumbling block, that's for sure. [LNB]'I have no idea how much we are paying towards his wages at the moment as the chairman (Daniel Levy) deals with those issues but I suspect they are massively subsidised by City.[LNB] 'The only way we can realistically get a deal done is if Emmanuel is prepared to take a substantial pay-cut and put his football before money.'
