Edinburgh swoop for Visser

Edinburgh have completed their second signing from Newcastle in two days after Dutch winger Tim Visser agreed a two-year contract. Visser, who is head coach Andy Robinson's first non-Scottish signing since he took charge almost two years ago, arrives hot on the heels of Falcons team-mate Steve Jones. Visser, 22, said: "I felt it was time for a new challenge; the Magners League is a good competition and it is good to see Edinburgh doing so well last season." He added: "It is a bit of an honour I guess to be Andy's first non-Scottish signing. I'm really looking forward to working with him because he is such a good coach. "I want to fight my way into the Edinburgh team because I know there are already some good wingers up there right now. "Hopefully I can establish my name in Scotland and help Edinburgh secure the championship next year."
