Don't let us go down: Shearer calls on Beye to help Newcastle avoid the drop

Newcastle boss Alan Shearer has told Habib Beye his performances can be crucial to the Magpies' chances of avoiding relegation in the Barclays Premier League.[LNB]The Senegal international has been a revelation since his return from an ankle injury last month and he goes into tonight's crucial clash with Portsmouth as one of the troubled club's most in-form players.[LNB]Newcastle are slumped in the bottom two with five games remaining and Shearer has urged Beye, 31, to continue his impressive run of form for the Magpies.[LNB][LNB] Solid: Beye has been a revelation  for Newcastle since his return from injury[LNB]He said: 'He has been brilliant.
