Despite Cabaye going on STRIKE at the start of the season; and Colo slapping in a TRANSFER REQUEST last January; the Newcastle manager thinks we (the fans) are thick enough to believe the two players have been "mis-quoted".
Alan Pardew: “It’s very difficult to be asked questions and get it perfect.
“I’ve made many mistakes with questions.
“Players get tripped up. Come on, (Cabaye) wants to play in the Champions League. I want to manage in the Champions League.
“Of course, if you’re asked that question, you’re going to answer it one way. You’re not going to say you like playing for fifth or sixth place in the Premier League.
