D-Day For Toon Skipper
August 7th will be thedate Alan Pardew names his new skipper. Apparently Fabricio Coloccini, Joey Barton, Cheick Tiote and Jose Enrique are all under consideration. Strange, because three of the four have been the subject of interest from other clubs, and have been tipped to move on.Following the departure of Kevin Nolan to West Ham United, the armband has been up for grabs.Alan Pardew: “I have it in my mind about the captaincy.“There are already candidates here.“It is something we do not have to decide right now.“I will watch the pre-season games and make my decision a week before the Premier League season starts.”
