Ex- football club tycoon and one half of the notorius "Muttley & Dastardly duo, Douglas Hall, has wed a former Newcastle United secretary in a fairytale ceremony in the sun. Property millionaire Sir John Hall’s son married Louise Roberts - who is almost 20 years his junior - in a swanky bash at their new hideaway in Gibraltar. The 52-year-old former Deputy Chairman of the Premier League, who infamously branded all Newcastle women as “dogs” during the Toongate scandal, married Louise who used to work with him at St James’s Park in the 1990s. Freddy Shepherd - who along with Douglas was targeted by the News of the World's Fake Sheikh Mazher Mahmood in 1998 - also attended. The pair, then Newcastle United directors, were secretly recorded referring to North East women as dogs, laughing at fans for paying high prices for replica shirts and dubbing Alan Shearer “Mary Poppins” for his clean-cut image. The pair first stepped down before returning to the board months later. Freddy later rose to become Chairman of the club, but Douglas moved to Gibraltar where he is a director in Sir John's property development company.
