Norwich have confirmed Carl Cort will be out for the rest of the season after the striker underwent surgery to remove a bursa from his foot. The 31-year-old former Newcastle forward, who joined the Canaries on a short-term deal until the end of the season, is expected to be sidelined for six to eight weeks.City head physio Simon Spencer told the club's official website: "Carl's had minor surgery to remove the bursa underneath his foot - he'll be out for six to eight weeks, but he'll start his rehab on Friday. "Initially this will involve resting him and looking after the rest of his body and continuing with his knee strengthening." Carl's well, and he's keen to get on with the rehab. After four weeks we hope to have him jogging and we'll then start building him back up to get him back after the six to eight weeks."
