Cox vows to find feet

Simon Cox believes his game will fall into place in time for the opening-day clash against Newcastle next weekend after a difficult pre-season to date. The hot-shot striker, who bagged 32 times in all competitions last season, has yet to find the net for Albion since his £1.9million move from Swindon at the start of this month. An ankle injury has disrupted his progress while he also looks to settle off the pitch. But he is confident everything will come together sooner rather than later and he will be among the goals once again. He told the club's official website: "Obviously I've needed to find a place and settle down, which I've done. It's been all about that really. I'm still finding my feet around the training ground, getting to know the players, the way they play, the way I play, getting to know the manager, and it's been enjoyable. "I've still got the injury but I'm trying to play on as the medical staff said it should go away. I don't know if it's a muscle problem or a kick." He added: "Yes, I just want one goal. Strikers go through patches and if I can have that patch now then I can have a decent season. It's about getting fit, performing together as a team and making sure we're right for Newcastle."
