Coloccini Still Wanting Return To Argentina?

Fabricio Coloccini has dismissed talk that he tried to turn his back on Newcastle United's battle against relegation. But ...

... he still refuses to say whether he will withdraw his transfer request and see out his four year deal at St James' Park.

Much was made of TV footage of the Toon captain’s return to Argentina earlier this year when he went back to Buenos Aires to recover from a back injury sustained in February.

Coloccini will hold talks about his future in the summer but he will return home to his family as soon as the season ends.

He insists he won't talk about his future until his meeting with the Newcastle board.

That could be good news or bad news for Newcastle fans, but rumour has it nothing has changed.

He asked to be released from his contract, but Mike Ashley refused.

With a four-year contract signed, all Coloccini has to say is "I'm going to see it out" ... but he continues to side-step the question.

Coloccini:  “I love playing football.

"I don’t care what happens in my future, I just want to play.

"On Sunday we have a game – I want to play. If we had a game on Tuesday I’d want to play in that.”

BUT ... WILL YOU BE PLAYING FOR NEWCASTLE NEXT SEASON?
