Coloccini poised to return
Newcastle defender Fabricio Coloccini could return to action at Swansea on Saturday.
The Argentinian missed the 5-1 Championship victory over Cardiff and Tuesday night's 3-0 defeat at Derby with a hamstring injury.
However, manager Chris Hughton is confident he will have him at his disposal once again as the Magpies attempt to bounce back at the Liberty Stadium.
Hughton told the club's official website: "Fabricio will be fine for Swansea. That's a boost because he has been a consistent performer this season."
New signings Mike Williamson and Fitz Hall have been paired together at the heart of the Newcastle defence in Coloccini's absence.
The Magpies slipped from the top of the table as a result of their reverse at Pride Park while the Swans cemented their place in the play-off positions with a 1-0 victory at Crystal Palace.
