Fabricio Coloccini: "Sometimes we have not done well against the teams who are down near the bottom of the table.
"Maybe we have thought it was going to be easy. That is dangerous.
"Against the big teams your motivation and concentration are always high, but we need to be at the same level.
"We have shown we can compete with the best teams in the Premier League, but now it is up to us to keep our performances at that level. We all want the same, Newcastle to be playing well and back in the top 10."
Manchester City's Pablo Zabaleta: "We have 22 points.
"That is six behind Arsenal.
"We should have more than that.
"Even though we have not played that well away from home, we should have maybe two or three more points that we lost in crucial away games.
"Mistakes have cost us points. Sometimes when you cannot win it is important not to lose.
"We know at the moment we are playing very well at home.
"It is important to play with the same attitude and ambition away from home.
"We lost to Sunderland, who are in a relegation place, and then beat Spurs 6-0. It doesn't make any sense, and that has happened throughout the league this season.
"Obviously you don't expect to win 6-0 against a very strong team like Tottenham. Sometimes it happens. And on this occasion we deserved it.
"But we didn't expect to lose to Sunderland either."
