Hughton has appealed for fans to focus their efforts on backing his team, that has been setting the pace in the Championship, after supporters reacted angrily to Ashley's decision to take the club off the market and plans to re-name St James' Park. [LNB]"It is massively important that the club is united," Hughton said, as he prepared for Monday night's televised visit to Sheffield United which will see his team cheered on by 3,000 travelling fans. We want a team that is doing well and you want a team that the supporters feel we should be in and you want a group of supporters that are behind the team. [LNB]"What would be my message to the fans that barrack Mike Ashley? It would be that the team is the most important thing. What the team needs most is support that will really get behind them. [LNB]"We are very fortunate that is what we have had so far. And we need their continued support behind the team." [LNB]Ashley has pledged to pump £20 million into the club this week but Hughton, handed a contract until the end of the 2010/11 season, having steered the Magpies to the top of the Championship during his caretaker role, has acknowledged that does not mean he is about to splash out on new players. [LNB]"The figure that's been quoted is one that had to come into the club for the normal running of the club," the former Tottenham coach added. [LNB]"What I have been told is that it's for me to work around what we can bring in and what we need, whether it's loan players or players there's a possibility of purchasing in the window. [LNB]"If we're able to do that then I certainly will get backing from the club. It hasn't been ruled out but also I have not been given any figures as to what that would be. [LNB]Hughton welcomes back several players ahead of the visit to Bramall Lane which will be his first game in charge since being named permanent manager. [LNB]Fabricio Coloccini and Steven Taylor should return from groin and hamstring injuries respectively at Bramall Lane, while fellow defender Danny Simpson, on loan from Manchester United, is likely to be available after an ankle problem. [LNB]Midfielder Alan Smith is also back in the squad after missing the 2-1 victory over Doncaster at St James' Park through suspension, but defender Zurab Khizanishvili starts a three-match ban for his red card in that game after the club lost their appeal. [LNB]The Yorkshire club will be without left-back Andy Taylor (thigh), midfielder Nick Montgomery (knee) and Gary Naysmith (knee) while striker Richard Cresswell is also doubtful with a rib injury.
