Chopra Told He Is Staying At Cardiff!

Former Toon stiker Michael Chopra has been making noises in an effort to return to the Premiership ... but so far there have been no listeners. His rant: "Either Cardiff buy big in the close season or I'm off" has hardly impressed those in high places at the club, and he has been told he is going nowhere. Ipswich owner Marcus Evans promised to back his manager Roy Keane with cash in the transfer market ... but the money offered for Chopra is seen as a joke by the Welsh club. Ipswich is NOT Premiership and not the club Chopra would choose, but his former boss is trying to pick him up on the cheap. Cardiff boss Dave Jones is not of a mind to listening to bids for his players has doesn’t have to sell. Dave Jones: “Roy Keane has made enquiries about him, but the money they are offering is less than what we owe Sunderland. “Chops is happy here, but, like everyone else, he wants to see people come in. Why would I want sell one of my best players unless it’s a knock-out punch? "It would take one hell of a crazy offer to get Chopra away from Cardiff and it would have to be more than is owed to Sunderland, and then some."
