Chelsea To Sign Santon?

21 November 2013 10:32
The latest reports suggesting Chelsea are set to sign Davide Santon in January ...

... are well wide of the mark!

The Chronicle reports today: "Chelsea have also been linked with a move for the 22-year-old defender, with Stamford Bridge manager Jose Mourinho managing Santon during his spell in charge at the San Siro."

It was Mourinho who sent him out on loan after giving the kid some 'home truths' about his attitude, something Santon took on board.

Santon, as he has always said, is settled at Newcastle United – despite reported interest from Napoli, Roma, AC Milan and of couse ... Chelsea.

Along with 'The Special One', Rafa Benitez, worked with Santon during his time at Inter Milan, which is why the Napoli interest has suddenly come about.

No offer, no talks, just a journalist linking the three together for an 'exclusive'.

Here is an 'exclusive' from www.Newcastleunited-mad.co.uk ... IT'S BOLLOX!

Santon, now in his third season on Tyneside, has gone public and said he is not eyeing a move away from St James’s Park, despite the lure of Champions League football.

The Italy international’s partner is from the North East, and their daughter, Sienna, was born on Tyneside.

Santon spoke of the debt he owes Mourinho before Chelsea’s visit to St James’s Park earlier this month.

Santon: “I always said he was an amazing manager.

“It is good for the Premier League that he’s back (at Chelsea).

“He gave me the chance to play, and I always have to say thank you to him.”
