The Championship kicks off this weekend with all 24 teams ready for their opening games. With the Premier League not starting until next week, all eyes will be on the Football League, with the Championship taking centre stage. The action gets underway on Friday evening live on Sky Sports 1 & HD1 with relegated Middlesbrough - one of the favourites to win the league - hosting Sheffield United in a Yorkshire derby at The Riverside. Saturday sees the majority of the games, and the evening match sees the clash of two of the league's big guns as managerless Newcastle travel to fellow relegated side West Brom - who will look to get off to a flying start under new manager Roberto Di Matteo. Big spending Nottingham Forest will unleash a number of their new signings at the Madejski Stadium as Reading boss Brendan Rogers takes charge of his first game. There are two new bosses on show at Loftus Road as Jim Magilton's Queens Park Rangers play host to Hoops legend Ian Holloway - now in charge at Blackpool. Former QPR boss Paulo Sousa takes charge of Swansea for the first time as he takes his new charges to newly promoted Leicester City. Another freshly promoted side Peterborough United face a trip to Derby County, which sees Ferguson and Clough - two of the most famous names in British football, come together as the sons of legends Sir Alex and Brian - Darren and Nigel - pit their wits against each other at Pride Park. The third team to come up from League One, Scunthorpe, are Cardiff City's first ever league opponents at their glittering new stadium. A South Yorkshire derby at Hillsborough sees Sheffield Wednesday host Barnsley, whilst Neil Warnock's Crystal Palace entertain Plymouth Argyle at Selhurst Park. Watford will be under Malky Mackay's charge for the first time on Saturday as Doncaster visit Vicarage Road. Preston and Bristol City - both teams who have reached the play-offs over the last two years - look to get their campaigns off to positive starts as they clash at Deepdale. The final game of the weekend comes early on Sunday when Roy Keane takes his Ipswich side to Coventry - a game you can see live on Sky Sports 2 & HD2.
