Celtic After Mackem If Forster Says 'No'

According to reports on Wearside today, Celtic could resurrect their interest in Craig Gordon if Toon keeper Fraser Forster snubs their offer.

Celtic are hopeful of converting Forster’s loan into a £2m permanent switch during the summer.

But with Steve Harper set to move into coaching and Rob Elliott yet to impress ... there is still a chance for Forster having a Newcastle career.

Alan Pardew has had Forster watched three times in the last month, and that says something.

The goalkeeper has made it known he would jump at the chance of playing in the Premiership.

Time is running out for Gordon to make an impression on Martin O’Neill with just three months left on the 29-year-old’s contract at the Stadium of Light.

Gordon didn’t even make the bench for either of Sunderland’s Easter outings.

Celtic are mindful of Gordon’s position as potentially being one of the most attractive free transfers on the market this summer.
