Are Newcastle fans really starting to feel the pinch with job cuts and threats of more redundancies on the way? The empty seats at St James' Park yesterday points to tough times ahead. 41,915 turned up for the fixture against Stoke City, who (let's face it) are not the most attractive team to watch in the Premiership. But look at the attendance figures for our last three home games in the Championship last season, and that is a significant drop. Ipswich 52,181Blackpool 47,010Sheffield United 48,270 We drew 49,597 for the Blackpool game in the Premiership, up on the Championship game last term, but Blackpool brought 1,000 more fans this season so that added to the total. Are we set for testing times ahead?
