Carroll Waits For Pardew 'Security' Before Signing

West Ham United have reportedly agreed a £15m fee with Liverpool to sign striker Andy Carroll ... but there will be a twist in the tale ... IF Alan Pardew keeps his job at Newcastle.

The Hammers have moved swiftly to try and tie up the signing of the former Newcastle United striker, who has spent the season on loan at Upton Park.

Sam Allardyce: “It is our target to make it a permanent situation.

“Hopefully we can get somewhere in the near future to do that.

“It’s our main priority. There are negotiations between the club and Liverpool.”

If Liverpool have agreed a £15m deal, it will represent a massive £20m loss on the player, having bought him for a British record £35m in January 2011 from Newcastle.

Magpies manager Alan Pardew admitted last week he’d be interested in bring the 24-year-old back to St James’s Park, but he is having talks with Mike Ashley about his own future.

There is no doubting the fact Carroll wants to return to St James' Park, and Liverpool would be interested if Hatem Ben Arfa could be included in the deal.
