Carroll signs new Newcastle deal

Newcastle striker Andy Carroll has signed a new five-year contract, the club have confirmed.Carroll, an England under-21 international, has committed his future to the club he has supported since he was a boy growing up in Gateshead. [LNB]"All I have ever wanted to do is play for Newcastle United," he told the club's official website. [LNB]"That's been the case since I was a teenager, playing in the juniors and reserves, and it's still the same now." [LNB]Carroll, who has scored four Premier League goals this season, added: "Every time I pull on the black and white shirt - and even more so now that I have the number nine on my back - it means the world to me so to be able to do that for at least the next five years is brilliant."
