Carroll signs Magpies deal

Newcastle starlet Andy Carroll has signed a new three-and-half-year contract, his agent has confirmed to skysports.com.[LNB] The 20-year-old striker has broken into the first-team picture this season and has produced a number of excellent displays, including his first two Premier League goals.[LNB]After lengthy negotiations, Carroll has now sealed a new deal which will tie him to St James' Park until 2013.[LNB]Carroll's agent Peter Harrison confirmed that he deal was completed.[LNB]Delighted"He is delighted to have committed his future to Newcastle United," he told skysports.com.[LNB]"He signed on Monday, and it is great for him to get it out of the way so he can now concentrate on his football.[LNB]"He is a local lad and Newcastle was the only place he wanted to be, and it is a great deal for him.[LNB]"The fans have taken to him and I am sure he will become a huge favourite in years to come."[LNB]Carroll celebrated his new deal with a call-up to the England Under-20 squad for their match with Italy at the end of this month.[LNB]
