Carroll Faces Day-Day In April
Andy Carroll has appeared in court today (Thursday) charged with assault after an incident at a Bigg Market nightclub. Carroll is accused of assault occasioning actual bodily harm against Michael Cook after an incident in the Blu Bambu club in December. It is alleged that Carroll smashed a glass into Mr Cook’s face. Carroll, of Carr Road, Prestwick, Newcastle, spoke only to confirm his name, age and address during a brief hearing at Newcastle Magistrates’ Court. Magistrates said that because of the seriousness of the charge, it could only be dealt with in the crown court. The hearing was adjourned until April 29 when the matter will be committed to Newcastle Crown Court. Carroll was released on conditional bail.
