The 19-year-old moved to the Magpies in 2009 from Slovenian outfit NK Domzale and has made six first-team appearances so far, but has the makings to be a future midfield general.
The Slovenian made his debut against Fulham in the Premier League earlier this season and is a massive favourite with the Toon Army for his gritty style.
The Slovenia U21 international will start his spell at the Cardiff City Stadium on Friday and will be available to feature for the Bluebirds up to and including their Championship clash with Bristol City on March 10.
