Canaries capture keeper

Norwich have swooped to sign Newcastle goalkeeper Fraser Forster on loan. The Canaries have stolen in to snap up Forster from under the noses of Bristol Rovers, who had the highly-rated keeper on loan. Forster's loan deal at the Memorial Ground expired earlier this week and Rovers were keen to extend it, but Norwich have acted quickly to lure him to Carrow Road. New Canaries boss Paul Lambert is thought to be a big admirer of Forster with the keeper impressing against Lambert's former club Colchester, while on loan at Stockport last season. Forster is highly-regarded and it is believed a number of Premier League scouts have been casting an eye over him during his loan stint at Bristol Rovers. The giant keeper is keen to play first-team football on a regular basis as he looks to boost his prospects of breaking into Stuart Pearce's England Under 21 squad and he will hope to catch the eye at Carrow Road.
