Campbell To Leave In Transfer Window!
As we reported before Christmas .... United are willing to listen to offers for defender Sol Campbell in the January transfer window. This comes just five months after he joined the club from Notts County. Some newspapers claim that the former Arsenal and England centre-back has become "unsettled at St James's Park" but we can report that - after Steven Taylor signed a new five year deal - Alan Pardew is looking to off-load Campbell as soon as possible. When Pardew was asked if Campbell would be going, the Toon boss side-stepped the question by saying: "That is a matter between Sol and myself". The former England star has hardly 'put himself out' since signing for the Geordies, turning up at training looking like a sumo wrestler, and looking well off the mark when he has played. His best days are behind him.
