Campbell admits Newcastle appeal
Sol Campbell admits he is "very interested" in a move to Newcastle after revealing they are one of the clubs keen on him.[LNB] The former England defender left Notts County after just one appearance, and will be available to move on when the League Two side agree to release his registration, which is the subject of ongoing negotiation. He has been linked with West Brom and has trained with Arsenal to keep up his fitness, but Campbell is looking at which clubs are showing firm interest.[LNB] Campbell told ESPN footballnet: "I have been approached by several clubs, and yes, it is correct to say that Newcastle are one of them."[LNB] He added: "People might be surprised to hear me say that I would be very interested in a move there, but I have my reasons. Also, Newcastle are a big club and could be heading back to the Premier League. It appeals."
