Cabaye v Robson - How Times Have Changed!

12 December 2013 14:56
Yohan Cabaye thinks his forthcoming suspension will be a good thing for him ... because he is TIRED!

Cabaye will miss this weekend's clash with Southampton after picking up his fifth yellow card of the season, after scoring the winner in last week's clash at Manchester United.

The Frenchman has made 10 starts for Newcastle this season, and half of those he was substituted ... plus two games for France.

The season we won the Fairs Cup (1968/9) Bryan Robson made 59 starts, and by this time in the season he had played 29 games for Newcastle and two for England Under-23s.

THREE TIMES what Cabaye has played!

And did he ever say he was happy to miss a game for the rest?

Yohan Cabaye: "Maybe the suspension will prove to be a good thing.

"It will allow me to relax for a little bit because I have been very busy for the national team.

"I could feel myself starting to get a bit tired, so perhaps the next week will give me an opportunity to relax and get some treatment that I need.

"It is hard to play so many games, and maybe I need this break."
