Yohan Cabaye is the latest Newcastle player to stress there is unity within the Magpies squad.
Following reports last week of disharmony in the camp, the likes of striker Papiss Cisse and midfielder Cheick Tiote have been quoted emphasising that the group are working together in their battle to avoid relegation from the Barclays Premier League.
And after Saturday's 0-0 draw at West Ham - which left Newcastle three points above 18th-placed Wigan, who have a game in hand - France midfielder Cabaye has had his say on the matter, telling the Chronicle: "In the dressing room, everything is okay here."
There had been suggestions that tension has been caused by some members of the Magpies' large French contingent not caring as much about the situation into which the club has slipped, but the 27-year-old insists there is no such problem.
He added: "The French players all want to adapt well. We are all focused together."
Regarding the match at Upton Park, Cabaye said: "We wanted to show we are together.
"We have stayed focused on being safe and playing in the Premier League next season. That is the most important thing. We know we are going to play well if we are focused together and stay together."
Newcastle, beaten 6-0 by Liverpool at St James' Park prior to the Hammers contest, have two games left - next Sunday's trip to QPR and then a home clash with Arsenal on the final day of the season.
Cabaye added: "I think we had a good response from last week - but we did not win the game.
"It is going to be very important to get three points (against QPR). It is only about us now, not Wigan, Norwich (who are on the same amount of points and games played as Newcastle) or anybody else."
