Cabaye Comes Off Ebay!

Before Tuesday''s victiory, the French team were voted "the worst French team in living memory".

Suddenly there is the smell of garlic in the air, onions around the neck, and snails are back on the menu!

Oh yes, and Yohan Cabaye has labelled France’s victory over Ukraine as the greatest moment of his career.

The Newcastle United midfielder helped his country overturn a two-goal deficit to qualify for next summer’s World Cup finals in Brazil.

Yohan Cabaye: “Such a turnaround is unique.

“We did it. This is perhaps the best match of my career.

“I think we deserve to be going to Brazil.”

Oh how 90 minutes can change the world.

Prior to that, the French team had been mocked across the channel for their performances.

French newspaper L’Equipe branded the class of 2013 as the worst France team in living memory and chronicled the fact that one supporter had offered them for sale for one Euro on eBay “to do household chores”.

Allegedly Cabaye has told Alan Pardew he won't be on strike this week, which is good news for us all.
