Bridges Making A Name For Himself In Oz With Newcastle!
Former Toon striker Michael Bridges is enjoying a new lease of life in Australia having been named captain of the Newcastle Jets Numerous injury problems contributed to a largely disrupted career with Leeds, the Mackems, Newcastle, and others ... and sadly we never saw what he was capable of in a black and white shirt. But despite his Mackem connections, he was a big mate of Lee Clark and ALWAYS a Newcastle fan. After spending a loan spell with Sydney FC in 2007, the former England youth international returned to Australia last year to play for Newcastle Jets.
